Leadership Training

Our New Guinea Islands (NGI) Leadership Training Institute is off and running now with between 15-30 pastors and leaders attending weekly classes in Inductive Bible Study and Homiletics.

Ministry and Ministry Training

The Tale of the Golden Goose: "There was once a farmer who bought a golden goose. A week later the golden goose laid a golden egg! The farmer was ecstatic! He cashed the golden egg and had a wild time. The following week he finds that the golden goose laid another golden egg! Again he cashes it in and spends the money. This happens week after week until one week the farmer goes on a world tour spending his golden eggs. When he comes back he finds no eggs because the goose is dead having forgot to feed the goose. The moral of the story is to take care of the goose if you want to spend the golden eggs.
Ministry is taking the golden egg every week. Ministry Training is taking care of your golden goose.

Production is getting something to work now (preaching a sermon this Sunday morning). Production Capability is making sure something will work in the future (building up a strong Pastor capable of leading his/her congregation for years to come). We should keep these in balance.
Production is doing Ministry. Production Capability is investing in and training the people who do the Ministry. Our Ministry is to the Goose.
